A Strong Partnership
The Heartland Sulphur Partnership is comprised of Lion Sulphur Inc. and Inter-chem Canada. The partnership has a combined 80+ years of experience in the Canadian sulphur industry and the two companies have teamed up to create a new terminal designed to fit the growing sulphur handling needs of Alberta’s industrial heartland.
Lion Sulphur Inc., a wholly owned subsidiary of Petrosul International Ltd. (Petrosul), a privately held sulphur marketing company with offices in Calgary, Alberta and Vancouver, British Columbia. Petrosul has been a sulphur aggregator and marketer for more than 40 years. It is the only sulphur marketer to have consistently served the needs of Canadian producers for the past four decades.
A wholly owned subsidiary of International Chemical Company (Inter-Chem) was founded in 1976 as a multi-product plant foods marketing and distribution company. Inter-Chem’s corporate headquarters is in Tulsa, Oklahoma.
Vision
Our mandate is to provide sulphur forming and transloading that will service the Oilsands and other upcoming gas production in Canada. We wish to be effective, efficient, and safe with the practices of handling sulphur so that we can properly transport and handle this commodity for our industry partners.
